Hello Grade 1 families!

It has been such a wonderful start to our Grade 1 journey. We have been busy enjoying the spaces inside and outside of our classroom. We are building a wonderful community in Rooms 126 and 127. We completed a scavenger hunt, read books about our feelings on the first day of school (and learned that teachers have first day jitters too!), colored our first grade sign, and enjoyed center time. Some of us were able to visit our music teacher, Mrs.Sayer, and we all had fun in gym with Mr.Dunlop! Ask me about one of these activities and I will share my ideas with you! Check out my backpack for my Grade 1 sign and snap a photo of me holding it so we can see how much I grow by the end of the year.

We are so fortunate to have a beautiful shared double room in Grade 1. We will be taking advantage of our wonderful room and working as a Grade 1 team with Mrs.Montgomery and Mrs.Bradshaw. This means we get to spend time with even more friends in Grade 1 too!
